These buildings were to the rear of an old butchers shop and comprised of a pie room, two walk-in refrigeration rooms and a larger storage barn to the rear. The building needed complete restoration, underpinning, re-grouting, new chimneys, floors and a new roof.
Structural beams were used to provide support for the first floor, accommodating the bedrooms and a bathroom.
As many of the original features as possible were incorporated into the new interior and reclaimed materials were sourced to ensure a traditional feel to the finished barn.
Externally the area surrounding the building was landscaped using a variety of reclaimed stone slabs, cobbles and paving and a small walled lawn area was created.
